# Pricing and usage

MCP is available on free and paid API plans. REST and MCP share the same API allowance; using MCP does not add a separate allowance. Online and Extension have separate allowances and plan limits.

Each successfully completed live search page uses one API request, including an empty page. Accepted work reserves one unit; failed searches release the reservation. Replays of an identical request do not charge again. Test keys use zero units.
